Organisations that decide to put a number of staff through the HITS programme should become a HITS Centre. This is more economical and enables the organisation to have staff sit their HITS test/s on-site rather than in a remote independent test centre. Independent test centres may also become HITS centres and offer walk-in tests to the public. Organisations or test centres may also decide to offer HITS in conjunction with trainer-led sessions.
Becoming a HITS Centre is simple and straightforward and there is no annual accreditation fee charged. The centre nominates one Coordinator who is responsible for overseeing the administration of the centre e.g. ordering HITS Certificate Test Units (CTUs), dealing with candidate queries, distributing certificates etc. The Coordinator can supervise tests and if necessary may nominate other Testers for the centre who can also supervise HITS tests.
The centre must have a room available with at least one computer with online access, for use when tests are being carried out. HITS Centres must order CTUs in bundles of 5. To become a HITS centre contact Claudia@ics.ie
