The EqualSkills programme commenced in the Information and Technology Training Centre in the Mountmellick Development Associations in October 2003 and these students were the first in Mountmellick to receive their certificates.

The EqualSkills programme is one of three modules on the BTEI, which is funded by Department of Education and Science.

Imelda Burke, IT co-ordinator at MDA who also delivered the programmes said, “The group enjoyed the Equal Skills Training and contributed with great enthusiasm”.

Gillian Farrar, ICS SKILLS, presented the certificates to the seven successful candidates, and Eric Makim, director of Mountmellick Development Association Social Inclusion Ltd, congratulated the students on their achievements and wished them well in their future studies.
